'DOWN BY THE VALLEY'
Where the deer and antelope play
Where birds sing praises, the eagle soars
Where the fish follow rivers to the sea follows sky
Where the bear and mountain lions roam
We call this Squamish, and I call this home.
This mural was painted during the Squamish Arts Festival 2022
at Junction Park. Squamish is home to the bears, the mountain lions, fish, coyotes, birds, and humankind.
I enjoyed the day painting with my Co/ Artist, Michaela Ivancova and listening to the wonderful stage performances.
Thanks to the Squamish Arts Council for the invitation to
paint that day and participate in the Festival. Great fun!
